We moved to Murrieta in 1989. I'm so grateful to have raised my family here in such a wonderful community.

I have five children and now 16 grandchildren. All of my children attended and graduated from Murrieta schools. 

I have worked at Cole Canyon since it opened in 2000 as a RSP instructional aide until 2019, when I made a job change into the library.  I have loved working with the amazing staff and wonderful teachers at Cole Canyon.  

I am excited to be in the library and share my love of reading with the students. I do believe that reading is one of the most magical activities in life.  Within the pages of books, students will embark on exciting adventures, meet interesting characters, learn about different cultures, discover something new they didn't know before and learn to use their imagination. So, I'm excited to take your children on many book adventures in the library this year. 

It is my hope that you too will encourage your child or children to read as often as possible. Read to them or let them read to you every day.  The more they read, the greater their love of reading will become.  If they are struggling to read, that is when they need to read or be read to, the most. If they don't like to read, maybe they haven't found the right book YET!  So, let's go reading together and discover the magic of books.
