Ryan Ridley

Ryan Ridley grew up in Murrieta, CA. He graduated from Murrieta Valley High School in 2000. From 2013-2015, he attended Cal State San Marcos and received his B.S. in Kinesiology. He then attended Azusa Pacific University and completed a Single-Subject Teaching Credential in 2016, and then in 2017 finished a master’s degree in Physical Education from APU. Coach Ridley began his teaching career in the Oceanside School District at El Camino High School and Ocean Shores High School, from 2016-2018. This will be his 7th year at Murrieta Mesa, and he will be teaching Unified PE, Body Comp, and multiple Athletic PE classes for the 24-25 school year.  He coached baseball at Murrieta Mesa from 2011-2015, and 2019 to 2023. He was also the Head Coach for Girls Golf from 2019-2021. He is currently on the Mesa Football Staff and the Freshmen Offensive Coordinator, entering his 6th year of coaching high school football.  Also, this will be his 2nd season as a Varsity Girls Softball assistant coach.

Penny Chidester

Penny Chidester grew up in Magna, Utah. She continued her education at the University of Utah, then moved to Northern California and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education at Cal State Hayward.  She then went on to receive her Master of Arts degree in Education with an emphasis on Arts Integration from Lesley University. Mrs. Chidester taught 7th, and 8th grade Physical Education at Hopkins Junior High School in Fremont, California for 12 years and then taught Physical Education for 10 years at Thompson Middle School, here in Murrieta.  She has been the director of the dance program and coaches the dance team at Murrieta Mesa since the school opened in 2009. This will be her 35th year of being an educator.

Christina Anderson-Huber

Christina Anderson grew up in San Diego, California. She graduated from Mount Miguel High School in 1989. She continued with her education at Grossmont Jr. College before earning a softball scholarship to attend Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana. She returned to San Diego where she finished her bachelor’s degree in Spanish at San Diego State University, then went on to obtain a School Counseling Certificate from U.C.S.D, a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential as well as a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Chapman University, and finally a Single Subject Supplemental Degree in Physical Education. Christina has taught for 25 years in the Murrieta Valley Unified School District. She has coached several sports over the years at Murrieta Mesa; 5 years of softball, 4 years of girl's lacrosse, 2 years of boys and girls cross-country, and 1 year of girls basketball. She is excited to be a part of Murrieta Mesa’s P.E. teaching staff and is looking forward to many successful years here at Mesa.

Doug Ravasdy

Doug Ravasdy was born in Michigan but grew up in the Santa Clarita Valley, graduating from Canyon High School. He continued his education at Point Loma Nazarene University, with a scholarship as a cross country and track athlete. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education as well as his single subject teaching credential in physical education. Coach Ravasdy began his teaching career in Pasadena, CA from 1994 -2004. He also taught in Colorado and has been a head coach of boys and girls basketball for 27 years. This will be his 8th year at Murrieta Mesa, and he will be teaching Lifeguarding and multiple PE classes for the 24-25 school year. Coach Ravasdy coached girls basketball and boys golf during his tenure and is looking forward to another great year at Mesa. When not at school, Coach Ravasdy enjoys fishing the lakes and streams and spending time with his wife and grown kids.

Jessica Nickel

Jessica Nickel grew up in Murrieta where she was the first graduating class of Murrieta Valley high school in 1994. She continued her education at Palomar College before transferring to California State University San Bernardino. She then transferred to Purdue University Global and earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition. She attended Azua Pacific University completing a single subject teaching credential and a Master's Degree in Physical Education. She coached sideline and competition cheer at Murrieta Valley in 1999-2002. She has been the sideline and stunt coach at Murrieta Mesa High School from 2018-present.
