Members of the public are encouraged to attend all board meetings and are further encouraged to participate in Board of Education meetings by sharing their comments either in writing or in person. Open sessions for meetings are generally held at 5:00 p.m. at the Murrieta Valley Unified School District Boardroom, 41870 McAlby Court, Murrieta, CA. The meetings will also continue to be available on the Murrieta Valley USD Board of Education YouTube channel.

Public Comment at Board Meetings

 In-Person: Individuals wishing to address the Board concerning any item on the agenda - any matter within the Board's jurisdiction during a regular meeting - are asked to complete a “Request to Address the Board of Education” card. These cards are available at the entrance to the Boardroom.  Please submit your completed card to the Executive Assistant to the Superintendent & Board prior to the start of the meeting.

Speakers shall be first recognized by the presiding officer at the designated time on the agenda. In accordance with Board Bylaw 9323:

• Individual speakers shall be allowed up to three minutes to address the Board on each agenda or non-agenda item.
• The total time for public input on each item is 20 minutes.

Please note: no action or discussion shall be undertaken on any item not appearing on the posted agenda, except as permitted by law. (Education Code 35145.5)

In-Writing: Members of the public may submit written comments to the Board on any item listed on the meeting agenda. To do so:

1. Open the published agenda online.
2. Click on the "Public Comments" link.
3. Enter your comment in the designated field.

Written comments submitted through the online agenda will be provided to the Board prior to the meeting.
