This course is required and designed to provide students with basic productivity skills in Microsoft computer software and career exploration through the 15 career sectors recognized in the state of California. Each student at MVUSD will enroll in 1 semester of the ICT course during their freshman year. This freshman course will support the exploration of the CTE Pathways offered at MVHS to help decide what's the best Career Technical Education option for your future.

We will use the following sources during the semester:

• My10YearPlan
• Code.org - block coding concepts
• Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Adobe Photoshop (online - FREE with school accounts)
• Audacity - audio editing software
• ClipChamp - video editing software

The BIG IDEA of this course is to discover who you are, what you want to achieve, and how to achieve your goals.  Along the way, you will improve your technological skills, so that you are better prepared in the regular classroom.
